2. Node.js platform

• Characteristics, architecture and applications
• Package management

3. Node.js tooling and toolchain

• Static code analysis (ESLint)
• Built-in platform tooling (running, watch, tests)

4. Node API

• File operations
• Working with streams
• Communication with the HTTP server
• Defining modules
• Error handling
• Working with asynchronous code, Event Loop, EventEmitter

5. Server framework (following the Express.js standard)

• Middleware-based architecture
• Routing and REST service implementation
• Integration with the project

6. Integrating a database with a Node.js application

• Selection criterion: relational vs NoSQL (MySQL/PostgreSQL, MongoDB/Redis)
• Connection and data access layer
• Working with data from the application
