Enterprise Linux Administration I

This is a practical author's training, providing participants with skills and knowledge related to  basic operations in UNIX environment. The agenda include working in command line environment, file and software management, as well as system installation. Combined with Enterprise Linux Administration II (ELA020)  training, it provides skills necessary in basic system administration.

The training is based on the current CentOS Linux  distribution versions, and the whole knowledge provided by this class might also be also used for administering other Linux distributions.

Enterprise Linux Administration I (ELA010) and Enterprise Linux Administration II (ELA020) trainings might also be used as a preparation for RHCSA certification exam, authorised by Red Hat.

The training is intended for operating system and applications administrators, as well as the remaining technical staff who would like to study the basics of Linux administration or refresh and consolidate knowledge already possessed. This course is the first step to get skills necessary at work as a Linux operational system administrator.

  • An ability to work independently in command line environment in Linux/Unix systems using basic tools built in the operational system
  • Experience in performing basic administration activities, gained by configruing simple system services
  • The training is a first step to acuqire skills necessary at work as a Linux system administrator
  • The participant is familiarized with standard and emergency procedures in system administration

Some experience in administration of any operating system is preferred.  We do not require any experience in UNIX/Linux.
