Altkom Academy provides dedicated technical support during training. The corresponding contact is forwarded with the invitation. Failure to meet the minimum technical requirements or improper operation of the participant’s equipment may result in the inability to provide the training service, but Altkom Akademia is not responsible for this. Altkom Akademia is also not responsible for problems that may arise on the part of service providers needed to participate in Distance Learning training (e. g. companies providing electricity or Internet). If you have any doubts as to whether they meet these requirements, please contact your sales representative.

To increase the comfort of work and efficiency of training, we recommend using an additional screen – it can be an additional monitor or a TV connected to a computer. A separate device such as a tablet, laptop or desktop can also be used as a second screen. On one device (e. g. laptop or monitor) you can start a video conference session and display content shared by the trainer, on the other you can perform exercises on your own software or a remote environment provided by Altkom Akademia.
An additional display is particularly recommended for computer training, but it is also very useful for other training courses such as project management. It facilitates teamwork, often carried out through additional applications, without the need to switch between windows.
The absence of an additional screen is not a contraindication to participation in training, but it significantly affects the comfort of work during classes.
At the latest the day before the training you will receive an e-mail with a link to the remote training session, a password and instructions. On the day of the training, you must join the session at least 15 minutes before the start of classes. This will make it possible to identify and repair any problems and reduce the risk of delaying the start of the training.
No. The condition of participation in the remote training is to have a webcam enabled enabling the current interactions of the trainer with the Training Participant, including eye contact. Altkom Akademia reserves the right to refuse to provide services if this requirement is not met. In addition, the camera is mandatory during exams, which are passed in the presence of a person supervising their course
Video conferencing software runs on most commonly available operating systems. Detailed information about the installation can be found on the website of the software manufacturer.
Minimum Internet speeds depend on many factors, including the number of people attending training with cameras on. A key issue for the comfort of work is the stability of the link. We believe that if your internet connection allows for smooth and comfortable use of multimedia (e. g. Netflix or Youtube), then your connection is fast enough.
The LTE connection carries the risk of temporary degradation and therefore we do not recommend it, even though many customers are satisfied with the training provided on such a connection.
Due to inconsistent speeds, potentially high network latency and the risk of excessive usage fees associated with the transmission of audio and video data, Altkom Akademia is not responsible for problems arising when connecting to a remote session via GSM (LTE) links.
We recommend installing video conferencing software. Installation instructions can be found in the invitation, but it is also possible to download the software earlier from the following pages:
Zoom: https://zoom. us/download
Webex: https://www. webex. com/content/webex/c/en_US/index/downloads. html
Microsoft Teams: https://www. microsoft. com/pl-pl/microsoft-365/microsoft-teams/download-app
For most tools, it is also possible to download a mobile application or enable a session in a browser (Chrome or Edge); however, these solutions offer limited functionality. We suggest using them only when the software installation is not feasible. In addition to the above recommendation, if the training requires work on specific software, each participant receives access to a dedicated laboratory environment. This applies primarily to technical training on the operation of systems and applications.
Laboratory environments (if present during the training) will be made available via Remote Desktop (RDP protocol), via the Web or via VNC.
The instructions for logging into the environment will be sent along with the access data for the training.
To connect to a dedicated system, we usually use the . rdp file, which is included in the email attachment with a link to the training. After its launch, enter the indicated login and password.
By default, Internet access is required over ports in the range of 40000 to 60000 and standard RDP 3389 protocol port. To check if ports are open, you can go to http://portquiz. net/ and add: port number, e. g. : http://portquiz. net:3389/ or http://portquiz. net:34151/ . After entering these addresses, the pages should be displayed.
Access restrictions may occur on company networks and when your computer is connected via a VPN to such a network. If the problem persists despite the unlocked ports, please disconnect from the VPN and recheck the connection to the remote desktop or use another computer.
If access to ports is blocked and/or the above solutions did not work, please contact your company’s IT department. If you have any doubts about the technical possibilities or questions related to the need to connect with the laboratory environment, please contact your sales representative.
Open trainings are most often implemented using the Zoom platform; we also use tools such as Cisco Webex or Microsoft Teams.
Information about which tool you will use for a specific training is sent together with the login instructions by e-mail at the latest the day before the classes.
If for any reason you are unable to use any of the above solutions, please inform your sales representative in advance.
No – just click on the link provided in the invitation and follow the instructions.
However, we ask that the name under which you will participate in the videoconference is your real name – this will make it easier for the trainer and other participants to communicate with you.
Yes, you can test the connection using the links below.
- Zoom (after installing the software on your PC): https://zoom. us/test
- Webex (after installing the software on your computer): https://www. webex. com/test-meeting. html
- Microsoft Teams: To make a test connection on the downloaded app before joining the training, click on the link sent in the invitation and click on the button “Custom installation” and then on the right “Take a test interview”. For logged-in participants who use MS Teams on a daily basis, click on their photo, go to Settings, then click on Devices and Make a test call.
NOTE: If you will be using an external microphone or camera during the training, please select them from the list of available devices.
