Training dedicated to server or desktop administrators who have specialist knowledge in the design, implementation, management and maintenance of Microsoft Azure virtual desktop environments and remote applications for any device. Remote Desktop Administrators work closely with Azure Administrators, Azure Architects, Microsoft 365 Administrators, and Azure Security Engineers. Candidates should have experience with Azure technologies, including virtualization, networking, identity, storage, and resiliency. They should be able to manage end-user desktop environments, including delivering applications and configuring user settings. Administrators use the Azure portal, templates, scripts, and command-line tools to manage their Azure Virtual Desktop deployment

During the training, Azure administrators will learn how to plan, provision, and manage virtual desktop environments and remote applications on any device in Azure. Topics covered include deploying and managing networking for Azure Virtual Desktop, configuring host pools and session hosts, creating session host images, deploying and managing FSLogix, monitoring Azure Virtual Desktop performance and health, and automating Azure Virtual Desktop management tasks. Course participants will acquire skills related to deploying virtual desktop environments on the Azure Virtual Desktop platform and operating in multi-session virtual environments

Participants should have at least 12 months of hands-on experience administering Azure and have a solid understanding of core Azure services. Knowledge of Azure Virtual Desktop is desired, including virtualization, networking, identity, storage, backup and recovery, and disaster recovery. Course participants should also have knowledge of local virtual desktop infrastructure technologies in connection with migration to Azure Virtual Desktop. Students are expected to have used tools common to Azure, such as Azure PowerShell and Cloud Shell
